Before sharing my experience, you must understand that roaches will return to your house if you didn’t get the basic correct to begin with. That is to keep your house clean and free from food crumbs. When exercising your roach killer techniques, focus on getting to the root of the problem that is to eliminate the nest instead of just killing the roach on site. Getting to the nest or even finding it is, in most cases, impossible because roaches will often set it up in wall crevices, floor cracks and other areas that are extremely hard to reach. Here are a few methods I’ve tried that works: Exterminators This is sure-fire method to eliminate roaches at home. You bet this method comes at a high cost. Please only chose this method if it’s really your last resort. Pest exterminator can start from USD100 upwards to thousands of dollars depending on the seriousness of roach infestation at home. Roach baits This is a method that gives you the biggest chance of eliminating the entire roach nest at home. They are effective and very low cost. Be sure to keep roach repellent products away when you are using the roach baits. Roach traps These traps work by using food to lure roaches into the trap and the roaches get trapped when they come into contact with the glue adhesive. While the traps do work by trapping the roaches, they are quite useless in getting rid of the entire roach nest. Here are some methods I’ve read from the Internet and tried but doesn’t work: Lemon Citrus solution - Doesn’t really kill any roaches but does keep the house smelling nice and deter roaches from being attracted to it. Soap solution – Direct spray on the roaches do slow them down but other than that, does not really have any killer effect. Cucumber Slices – This is one of the most popular roach repellent on the Internet but it really didn’t work on roaches. Here is what works on the roaches though: Gel Bait – One of the most effective methods that really work is the roach bait. It has the highest potential in getting rid of the entire roach nest. Roach Trap – Similar to the bait, except the roach do not bring the bait (poison) back to its nest but got trapped by the gel-adhesive tape. Roach Spray – One of the most common and direct roach killers in the market today. Aim, shoot and kill, simple and straightforward. In conclusion What works do not have to cost a lot, but be sure to read the application instruction before using. If all else fail, seeking help from professional roach exterminator will be your last resort. They work really well but can cost a bomb. Good luck!
